Does anyone know how to clear the message from your phone when you clear it from the watch? Every time I message through the watch I go to look on my phone and the notification is still showing on the phone

I wish I did. I also have a problem of getting the messages on my phone and watch when they are connected, then getting the messages again when my watch goes to LTE when disconnected from my phone. I think they need a better syncing method.

Have to clear calendar notifications on both watch and phone also, or is it if I clear the notifications on the watch the phone clears, but if I clear the notification on the phone the watch has to be cleared separately? Yeah, I think that's how it works. Whatever, it's annoying.

ETA, that behavior was using DigiCal as my default calendar app. I just switched to the Samsung calendar as default and the notification clears on both, if I clear it on either.

ETA², I've been playing around with this and the calendar apps from Samsung, Google and DigiCal, with a Gear Sport and Gear S3.
The watch notification seems to show up differently. Sometimes, it's just a line with the 'X' on one side and the 'whatever it is' on the other side.
Sometimes it's a screen with the app icon at the top and the text of the calendar event.
...first world problems...

That's the thing if I clear from the watch only it doesn't clear from the phone which is annoying cause later if I grab my phone all the notifications are still there

Which SMS app are you using?
I don't think I've had that issue, using Textra or the Samsung Massage apps.

Also, I just realized that you did not say which watch you are using.
Tizen and Wear OS devices at very different, in many ways.

I'm using the Galaxy watch and I'm using the stock Samsung messaging app.

Tizen I believe

Oh, that does suck. I use the Fitbit Versa with Textra and every time I clear it on my Fitbit it clears on the phone as well. That goes for calendar alerts and notifications for a to-do app called TickTick (which is awesome by the way, even the free version).

I just tried it on my Gear S3 with the Samsung Messages app.
The notification on the watch shows as ready to reply. It cannot be swiped up to clear. I had to use the 3 dot menu, scroll all the way to the bottom and choose CLEAR NOTIFICATIONS.
The notification on the phone went away on its own after clearing on the watch.

Lucky you... When I clear the notification on the watch it clears but I look on the phone and it's still there

Can you clear it right away or do you have to use the 3 dot menu on the watch?
Just in case it may help, if attached a screenshot of my notification settings in the Galaxy Wearable app.

ETA, BTW, my Note 9 is still on Oreo. That may be the difference or the Galaxy Watch may act differently, than the Sport or S3.

i have a note 9 and a frontier watch, if i clear the phone log on the watch it clears both places, but if i delete messages it still shows up on the phone, i figured this was just a way to keep from losing possible important info.

Oh ok I see so after clearing the notification in the watch... You back into the message app and clear it there, then it will clear from the watch?
