Is the Google Messenger really limited to only about 8 or so recipients to send a group message?

I believe 10 is the standard for group messaging via MMS.

My V20 and Note 7 does more than that. That sucks. I was really diggin Google Messages too. Looks like I'll have to use Textra.

Weird I haven't test on the pixel, but on the nexus 6p I had up to 17 people in my Google messenger app (Referring to the native txt messaging app that comes with stock android). I have not tested on the pixel xl however.
