mic + audio cable adapter?

Hi,

I have a good set of over-ear stereo headphones (no mic), and the audio cable can be unplugged at the ear-cup. This is prime for adding some kind of cable that has an in-line microphone, perhaps something like this one:

Has anyone got experience using a third-party mic adapter cable with the Nexus?
