I need help with my Sandsk 64gb sd card. I cannot format it or delete any of the files. I took the card out of my phone and put in a adapter, and deleted the files manually. They they somehow just pop back on there. When i rename files they change back when I go to access card again. When i try to format i get a error. Ivd tried 3 different SD programs and none of them work. Can somebody help me please. I have no problem accessing files or my phone reading card. Jus cant delete anything without it reappearing again.

Im having the exact same problem. Im using a Samsung Note 3 with KitKat 4.4.2.
Will format the 64gb SD card then everything comes back.

Did you try formatting the sd card while in the device? Its in the storage options

Yep, tried formatting with Samsung Note 3, Samsung S5, PC SD card reader and Mac SD card reader. Nothing works. Apparently KitKat 4.4.2 has gotten rid of the ability to write to a SD card. This is most likely why I'm having this problem. Should of stuck with iPhone haha

On my Note 3, KitKat 4.4.2: Use the Sandisk 64gb card for photos and videos and it doesn't work anymore.

i too have same problem been bothering me for months, 64gb card, s5, kitkat... diving me mad.
iv just received a 128gb card today, am i safe to use this in my phone or will it lock up again!!! please help!!

I've tried formatting the card while in the device (NOTE 4 ... trying to resolve Camera issues, which i think is now being caused by the SD card). Format completes, however, all the files still remain on the SD card.

Thats thr isssues i had. I just called Sandisk and they sent me a new card and i sent the old one back. Had no issues since. Something got corrupted on my card i believe was the issue.

The failure is a write failure, not a read failure. This is what happens when nand memory stops working, you can read it (as long as the controller is fine, controller health is not directly correlated to memory health) but can not write to it. (Unlike HDD's where when they start to go bad, they end up dying completely (or as a 2 year old version of myself would say "They die till they are dead")
