Micro SD performance?

Just wondering if Samsung has updated anything for the note 8 to offer a performance boost on micro sd speeds, tapping into the potential of some of these high speed cards.

Also was there any updates to the flash storage performance? Has anyone run any benchmarks? My research is coming up short

Doubt it. Higher SD card access speed means higher power costs. I'd they they balanced it somewhere in between maximum speed and battery efficiency.

I love these type of questions... what are you running on the card that requires high performance?

I'll chime in. Running a FLAC HD audio file from a SD card for certain music recorded at a high enough bit rate has caused issues for me with Poweramp. Moving the audio file to internal storage fixed it. But this was on the LG V20. Did not try on N8 yet.

I'll be using the included 128gb card that supports up to 100mb/s transfer speeds, be nice to transfer between phone and my pc at a decent rate, especially when moving movies around.

How high was the bit rate? I play 24 bit 94.0khz FLAC on my V20 thru Poweramp with no issues. I'm assuming you are playing 32 bit or higher?
