Micro SD problem

Hi all,

Just woke up this morning and checked my note, and it said something along the lines "micro SD disconnected" in the notifications bar. I thought it was strange as I was only using it yesterday. The thing is its now not detecting the sd card at all, ive taken it out and put it back in and nothing, not even showing up on file browser when i connect the note to my laptop on windows, so pretty sure the card has gotten damaged in some way, has this happened to anyone else ?

Be interested to see what others say. I had the same experience with a sandisk 32gb card. At the time I assumed it was the card, but have seen a few other posts with card issues as well.

Did you try putting the card in your computer an doing a few checks, to check the files, file system and structure, integrity, virus or malware ,etc.

I've started experiencing this issue since the last push update. Rebooting solves the issue so I'm fairly certain it's related to the update.

FYI, the last update added a feature in the developer's section of settings to allow the user to "protect" the external micro sd card by requiring apps to request permission to read the external card. I suspect this new code is causing the issue. I wish Samsung hadn't added it since it's causing the tablet to not see the external card. Rebooting does solve the problem so far. I hope Samsung deletes this feature since I don't have any confidence in them not making things worse if they try to modify the code further to retain this setting.

I've had this problem too. I've got a bunch of stuff on my micro SD card and now my tablet doesn't read my card at all. I've tried rebooting my tablet with no success. I need help with this urgently so I can access my files for work. This is a bummer!!
