Micro sim adapter

I use a micro sim in my GN without adapter, and so far, no problems.:D

that's what i'm doing now :) tried it and it works... the adapter i received plain sucks... no better than a punched out sim card... didn't have the little corner tabs to hold the microSIM... as expected for $1.50...

luckily, as others point out... microsim hold in there nice without adapter... just need to center it correctly on the contacts...

It is seamless, no need to call AT&T, which is one of the big advantages of GSM.

i can attest... popped my iphone 4S micro sim into my GSM GNex... worked right off the bat... no settings to be changed or inputted... no calls to at&t needed... the beauty of gsm and sim cards...

I just got my Galaxy Nexus (Google, ATT) and had the same question about the need for the SIM adapter.

However, I was able to just slip in my iPhone micro SIM into the SIM slot in the Nexus (beneath the battery) and it is held perfectly in place by the retaining clip -- no adapter is even necessary.

To those who were able to get their sim in there correctly, could you send a pic? I can't seem to get mine aligned just right - it isn't recognized when the phone is turned on.

Thanks.

I'll get up a pic for you ASAP, I'll bet you have it in upside or face up. Take another look at it.

The picture is reversed(Like in a mirror)

The sim card missing corner and the adapter tray missing corner should both be in the left top corner when you are looking at it. The adapter is kinda dark to see...but you can see the micro sims corner. On the off chance your adapter tray is the same brand as mine the name 'U best" is visible(As opposed to being flipped over) hope this helps!

Forums are awesome!!!

I few months ago I bought a sim card punch and a few different styles of sim adapters. Luckily, with Amazon, I spent a total of $5.30 for everything and got free shipping. Thanks to this post I have learned, that I can go "commando" and be adapter free, which is even better. Also, thanks to this post, I have learned that I can swap the sim card between my AT&T iPhone 4S and the GNex (when I get it) without changing anything on my account.
