Microphone dead on my LG Urbane 2nd: hardware or software

Hi,

I have noticed that my LG Urbane 2nd has gone deaf. The microphone does not work when interacting with the watch, trying to record some audio, or place a phone call. Maybe the mic is really dead from a hardware perspective, but I was wondering whether the last update could have done this? I've already tried a full reset but it didn't do the trick. The microphone seems to be perfectly clean and my watch has not been exposed to water.

Any ideas?

There's very little software associated with just the mic - most of it is in the apps that use it, and I doubt that all of them have gone bad at once.

Have you checked the mic hole? Dust and lint are sound absorbers.

If the hole is clean, it's probably a bad mic.
