Microphone missing on keyboard

Hi, I recently put 2.3.7 Lewa ROM on my phone and am missing the microphone and all speech to text capabilities. was wondering how would I go about getting this feature back on my phone/,microphone icon on my keyboard.

The best bet would be to go to settings>>language>>keyboard and there should be the option to put the mic button back on the keyboard. However, that said, the mic might not be working on that Rom. The mic needs a steady 3g connection to work. I haven't gotten speech to text to work well on the ics roms because the 3g fades in and out
