Microphone open with camera

Been searching around for why microphone opens with the camera and all I'm finding are privacy related links.

Anyone know if there is some hotword or phrase to take a picture rather than saying Hey Google take a picture? That seems to reopen the camera app through assistant and not use the currently open window. I figured if microphone is already on then maybe just say "take a picture" or similar to voice commands in sammy.

It would make sense that the microphone is activated when you open the Camera, since it needs to be ready in case you take a video.

Figured that would turn on after switching to video tab. This stays on constant if camera is selected.

Interesting I wonder how long it has been like that. Without the microphone in use indicator I wouldn't think twice about camera having access in permissions.

The pixels don't have voice commands like Samsung in camera app
