Great news. It syncs fully and allows the full reading of the email, not just the header. And replying! Just what I have been looking for.

I found the updated apk from APKmirror link in another article. I still have my reservations, e.g. it won't let me edit or update contacts. Nor allow the calendar events be integrated with Android calendar. The contacts is a deal breaker for me as I use Outlook contacts as my primary contact store since it is easier to use it on various platforms.
I have it loaded as well as my Samsung mail app. I blocked Samsung's mail from giving me notifications on the device. So I'm using contacts and calendar with the Samsung app. Outlook is reading all my Samsung contacts. For calendar i may upgrade to paid calendar wear .
But it's a major keeper for me now.

I'm using the Google Messenger. No NumberSync needed. The watch app holds two accounts, one for watch number, one for phone. You can switch back and forth for viewing. Just make sure Messenger app on you phone is set to default SMS app.
About calendars in outlook, if I only use Outlook app, it won't show up in Android calendar store. So no 3rd party app will work. Using two email apps for the same account simply wasted twice as much battery juice on the phone.
As I said, no numbersync needed. The messenger app on the watch works just fine without it. But you might get a better integration if you also use Messenger app on the phone.
The Agenda app only shows any events for TODAY. The outlook app doesn't sync events into Android calendar store. So, if Outlook app is your only app for accessing Outlook account, none of the Outlook events will ever show up in Agenda app.
My Outlook app seems stuck on sync calendar events. As a result it uses a lot of battery but none of the events show up inside Outlook app itself. Uninstalled it right away. Not much use for me. .
