Check out this video. Do you think this marketing strategy will work out well for Microsoft? Heck I can't put my phone down for more than a few minutes, nor do I want to! Anyone with me?

I concur besides we have widgets that do the same thing so I see nothing special there...although I support Xbox and use a Zune.

WP7 intrigues me. Too bad that all the phones coming out are just going to be on the Evil Empire Network (AT&T), and #4 (T-Mobile). Also, the phones that are coming out are just running current hardware, next year will be much more interesting when I am sure there will be more phones coming to Sprint that pack a Snapdragon 2 or maybe something from Sammy with the new Orion chipset. Either way, I want the latest and greatest, not just hardware from this spring running on a phone introduced in the fall. But anyhow, I didn't have a chance to watch that video yet, but....I can hardly put my phone down. I am constantly futzing with it, I just can't help it.

WP7 does look pretty nice. I wish Android had smooth animations like WP7, I hope that will be part of Android 3 and the new fancy hardware coming next year. In the mean time, I am still content with my Evo, and no, I am not putting it down unless I got some hot chick sitting in front of me.

Cory, what phone are you rocking now?

Ok, I just watched that video, the dude in bed with the hottie waiting on him needs to have his balls cut off..seriously! Anyhow, that's a dumb campaign. We spend that much time on our phones not because they are hard and complicated or cumbersome to use, but because we want to. If MS claims that you will play with your phone less because their interface makes things go faster, they are very mistaken. It doesn't take long on any current platform to do any task, we just keep playing with the phone because we can.

So... thumbs down down for me to that video. If the chick in the bedroom would have worn something skimpier, then I might have given it a slightly better rating. ;)

So you had an Incredible, then an Evo, now the Fascinate...dude....lol. Do you go through gf's the same way? What did you do with the other two, still have them or sold them?

You left out the Droid, Droid X, and Epic ;) Yes, I sold em all. I think I'm pretty much set until LTE is available.

OMG...You had a Droid X and an Epic too? Jeeez...what made you pick the fascincate over the epic? Just the choice of Network I am guessing?

Moving parts and a buggy back button sealed the deal on the Fascinate. Sprint's good in the Northwest, so that wouldn't have stopped me.

So what do you think of WP7? I think it looks pretty good. But I am in a good position being that Sprint won't have any WP7 phones until next year, and by that time we will know what Android devices and versions will be in the pipeline for me just in time to upgrade next summer! Because...unlike you, I upgrade ONCE a year...not 5 times! LOL

Microsoft actually surprised me with WP7. Up until this past week, it been getting mostly negative press. However, they came out of the event mostly unscathed, and there were even some positive things said about it. Several of my iPhone friends are actually very interested, which says a lot. On the Android Central podcast, this past week, I think Mickey guessed they would carry about 5-10% of market share, which I would totally agree with.

All that said, my personal response about WP7 can be summarized in one word: DROID!

I like how smooth that interface is. Going from portrait to landscape mode looks even slicker than on an iPHone. It's little things like that that makes me admire an UI. I hope Android 3 will be just as slick, if not slicker!

It won't be. I'd put money on it.

No because it will be to much work to code hardware acceleration in the way wp7 has done that's why everything is so smooth and part of the reason I'm eyeing wp7 device as a replacement for my d2 the os is just to smooth

The funny thing to me is that if WP7 is as good as it is supposed to be, WP7 users will still be glued to their devices.

If your reading this - then it mean that I didn't even finish reading that article. Lol
