Migrate S7 > Note 9 question

What's the best way to get everything moved to the Note 9 from my S7? New Black Friday phone arrives today and I want to make it as painless as I can. Thx.

Thanks. I used SmartSwitch for the Sprint S7 > Verizon S7 transfer a couple years ago, but had read some negative reports recently about the current app. version. I'll give it a try later, once the new Note arrives.

I just switched from a pixel 2. I had a Google Account and backed up all my Contacts. I didn't copy anything over to the Note 9. When I set up my Google Acct on the Note it then synched all Contacts, and Contact Groups. I knew it would synch the Contacts but what I didn't know was the Play Store under Installed had a record of all my installed Apps and under Play Store Library was listed every App I had ever used but not currently installed. All I had to do was click on the Apps to either Open or Install. A piece of cake.

most everything was migrated smoothly using SmartSwitch. still working on some sign-ins, etc. some app data will need to be moved manually as well. I'm going through each app that may have not tx'd data individually. that's what I dread each time I get a new phone. takes me days to get it set right...
