Milestone GSM - Network problem..

What would cause a GSM Milestone to stop working on a network?

Can you re-install the software somehow??? It seems to be some sort of software issue..

is this rooted? i dont remember if the Milestone has root yet but if you are i would wipe through recovery and reboot. if you're not rooted then i would reboot and see what happens. if that doesn't work, try to put it into airplane mode and then turn airplane mode off. hope that helps man

I know it is not in airplane mode, that would cause the signal level meter to show a small airplane, this is showing just an "X"..

Not rooted, any other ideas?
