Im going to be purchasing a tab s 10.5 this week (thanks to the almighty tax return). I am active duty Army and will be deploying towards the end of next month. Im looking for a rugged case. Something that may seem 'bulky' but also is of a durable rubber/silicone. I say military spec since I will be in the desert. Im looking for something that could absorb a hip height fall from a table, and if liquid proof/resistant, even better.

Aside from the otterbox, does anyone know of anything or have first hand experience?

My wife has a Hot Newest Ipad 5 / Ipad Air Case Silicone Plastic Kid Proof Extreme Duty Dual Protective Back Cover with Kickstand and Sticker for Ipad 5 / Ipad Air - Rainproof Sandproof Dust-proof Shockproof (Olive)

^^since I cant post links due to spamming policy for new members. That would be the title of the case if anyone looks it up

Any and all input is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Sealline makes a variety of Dry Bags. But they don't seem to make the heavy duty ziplock pocket that I have for my phone when hiking, biking and cross-country skiing. This "ziplock" has a heavy clear "plastic" body and I just checked and I could swipe my Blackberry phone and my Samsung Tab S through the plastic. So possibly their larger clear stuff sacks might work???? Find one the right size, push most of the air out allowing it to contact the surface and you might be able to operate the Tab while inside. And if left with just enough air, it might act like a balloon or cushion. Can't say since I have not tested them.

www.rei.com sells them.

I appreciate the help so far. I guess I should say Im not looking for a bag. I want a solid/durable case that the tab s 10.5 can be housed in. Im aware of the otterbox at the moment. I just wasnt sure if there were other competitors in that type of market

There are very few cases available for the Tab S 10.5 let alone any rugged ones. You can always remove Otterbox's cheap screen protector and install a tempered glass on the Tab S. Good Luck on your quest.

I also saw the Pelican Voyager case for the Note 4 at the AT&T Store.

Hi, I bought a gumdrop case for mine. It is very protective and covers the screen with a clear protector built-in. Very strong indeed but expensive. The 2 way built-in stand is very well designed with magnetic lock.
