Checked my phone now and normally where it says 3g its a nice new 4g symbol. And its fast.
Can anyone else confirm if their 4g is working in Minneapolis too?

Maybe it's just a test and it will go away, we'll see.

I cant seem to get a 4G signal in downtown Minneapolis in the IDS center. SUCKS! I got really excited for a minute... is it really that fast?

I've tried a few times today, but no 4G signal here at 9th & Marquette.

Anyone know what the official Mpls. 4G rollout date is?

Im in St Louis Park, but now im back down to 3g, Im in an office building with not great signal which is why i got so excited. I'll go outside and try again, i read on another site somewhere that it may work on and off while they test it.

Ok, I went outside, 4g is for sure on in St Louis Park/Golden Valley area, I work at the intersection of 394 and 169.
I did some speedtests using the speedtest.net app.
After 5 tests (changed to a closer server for the last scan)
Download Range - 2434kbps to 6389 kbps
Upload Range - 469kbps to 1022kbps

I then turned 4G off to test what the 3G speeds were
I only did one test scan -
Down speed 501 kbps, Up speed 169 kbps.

In conclusion.... wow heck yes!

I live all the way down in Burnsville so we'll see what it's like down there, if it is down there.

I am going to the Twins game this Saturday... (from Rochester) I will gladly test this out... Any word lately if this is solid, or permanent?

its been spotty in locations for at LEAST a month, its not LIVE yet in the metro but should be soon. i live right outside downtown and do not get it. i work in edina and do not get it their either. so actually its not live or both places would have it.

New place was activated apparently as I can now connect to 4g from my apartment in Highland Park as I was unable a few days ago. Anyone else out there in the cities confirm any new areas?

I tried my EVO at and around the Dome and got 1 bar of 4G. Which in turn, was about 10x slower than my 3G in Fargo.

Was in the sprint store yesterday to check out the Epic 4g and the phone was getting a solid 4g signal. I asked the sales associate about it and was told that for the next month they will be turning 4g on and off to test it, but it should be constant some time in October.

I drive all over the city everyday 4G seems to be rolling out in more and more places. North memorial hospital campus is full coverage parts of Brooklyn center and Brooklyn blvd I have for service. Don't recall maple grove lighting up or anything else nw. Downtown st. Paul I get spotty coverage - great as you get close to 3M campus. Downtown mpls for whatever reason seems to be left out. As stated above most of 394 has been on. Haven't seen it in Plymouth near west health - kind of shocking. Savage burnsville and bloomington on 494 35w 13 and 169 have some coverage. Speeds vary from minute to minute best I have got was 9.3 down worst was about 4
