Misidentified device

Google sent me an email stating a galaxy note 3 had accessed my account All the details, model no etc were for a note 3. I have a note 2 and a note 4. I changed the password and said it wasn't me. then i tried to log in on the note 2 and it won't let me even with the new password. I have unblocked the device stating it really was me but still no joy.
I can find nothing in help pages nor a way to communicate with them about their error that has now locked me out. What can I do now?

Do you use Device Manager? If not, download the app. Log in and it lists all devices you have. I lost my old GS4 one time and logged in and erased/wiped it clean. Maybe you can fix your Note 2 that way.
