Hello..

In my Pixel 2XL, I always get a confirmation 'beep' and summoning Assistant with my voice.

Now there's nothing on my Pixel 3XL. So, if I'm not looking at my phone, I can't tell if it heard me to wake up...

Am I missing a setting?

Thanks!

It's more a sign of things getting faster. You really don't need much of a pause these days after saying "ok google" before your question. In the old days you'd have to say "ok google", wait for it to wake up and respond before it was ready. Now you basically say "ok google...hows the weather today". That's how google home is too. It's hard to get used to not having to wait for it to wake up.

Thanks, that makes sense. However, earlier my voice awake feature wasn't working at all, so I didn't know the difference between it reacting fast or not at all. Since my face down phone didn't give me any feedback. LOL

Also, I am somewhat frustrated that my Google squeeze assistant on my pixel 3 takes a good two and a half seconds before it starts to recognize the microphone. Half the time I'm already talking and it's cutting off my sentence

Something isn't right if squeeze takes that long to activate GA microphone. Occasionally, when having difficulty connecting to Google I could see but if you are getting that consistently that's not what I'm experiencing

I start talking the instant I squeeze and I'm not having any problem.

Also it is quite nice to just say "Hey Google what's the temperature?" in one continuous sentence with no pausing and it just works.

If you turn on accessibility in settings you will then hear the beep.
