Missing Contact in "People" list

I have noticed 2 of my contacts (wife and son) are no longer showing up in the All List in the "People" app. They are on the phone in my Groups and recent calls/messages but that is it. Any help would be appreciated.

I think the contacts get physically moved to the group they are assigned to. They don't appear in the main 'people' list anymore. Had this same problem and never figured it out, so I just removed people's groupings

That's definitely not the case. I have various groups set up, and my contacts still appear in the "all" section.

Go to People>Menu>View and make sure the appropriate sections are checked.

Also, are they named "Wife" and "Son", or are their real names used? I noticed that, when my contacts for "Mom" and "Dad" were linked with Facebook, it switched to their FB names. It took me a second to realize that...

Thanks everyone, I figured it out. I logged into my gmail contacts and found both my wife and son (not named that way in the contacts) were no longer listed in "My Contacts". I just moved them back there and everything is good to go. And like Strygun says the Groups do work.
