Missing Contacts

Hello all,

So not sure if this belongs here but here goes.

I manually enter someone info on my phone in contacts but when I go and check the google contacts its not there, I turned off sync and turned on again, nothing changes, even tried to refresh the web browser.
I made changes in the web browser and changes made instantly on the phone.

Other issue I started to notice duplicate contact names in the phone contacts, it seems some are just VZ back up assistant plus with no info I can edit and join but is there a way to stop the VZ back up from doing this?

When you go to enter someone into your contacts from your phone, just above the Name blank you can touch and choose which account it will save it to either your google or the Vzw one.

ok i see that but I dont think I have ever changed it.
is there a way to safely remove all the VZ contact info without losing the goggle contacts?

Go into People. Tap the overflow menu bottom right. Tap contacts to display. At this point you can tap just your Gmail account contacts or you can go into "customize" and tap the Gmail groups that you want to see on the phone, if you have groups.

So, you can't get rid of the Verizon Wireless contacts, but you can turn off seeing them.
