Missing Equalizer

Nice sound.... Is there a way to hide the icon in notification drawer or do we have to turn off and turn on?

The icon persists so that the app doesn't close.

G2 didn't have an equalizer either. it was my understanding that android does not actual have an equalizer, but lg hasn't included one like other oems do.

Well, I found out the cause of my Bluetooth audio quality issues. I knew quality was bad while connected to Ann Android wear device so whenever I listen to music, I disconnect. But the reasons it's bad for 10 seconds at a time every few minutes is because it's trying to reconnect. Go into Android wear, click on the gear, click on the watch that says connecting and turn that off. Fixed.

I just purchased an LG Leon phone and was surprised to find out that LG phones don't have any EQ implementation. I installed Equalizer FX as recommended here, and am now much happier. Before, when I connected to my car stereo, the treble was so screechy any increase in volume became quickly intolerable. But EQ FX has successfully fixed the problem! However, I did have a minor issue with EQ FX initially not affecting the sound output, despite any changes to the frequency sliders. It wasn't until I toggled the Loudness effect on an off that my phone "woke up" to the fact that EQ FX was installed and running. Then, I could change the EQ. So much better now. Thank you for the lead to this app!

Oh, and as others have mentioned, I also noticed the EQ FX icon in the notifications tray constantly. I believe this to be a "necessary evil" so that the application remains running and effective to my music applications. I'll deal with it.

I use an LG G3 Beat. At first, Google Play Music did not show the equalizer. I installed an equalizer app by Smart Android Apps and reinstalled Play app. Equalizer option appeared afterwards, launching the newly installed eq app. Serves well.

Gys, guys, guys... I just stumbled on this threat because I got my G4 yesterday.

1. Thanjks a lot for recommending this EQ, it works well! Trying to avoid rooting this device, it sounds like a real pain in the a... I usually use Viper4Android.

2. Long press the notification, then press the "i" symbol, and choose no notifications. The app will still do its thing, it's just the system won't show the notification. Voilà!

I have downloaded dozens of apps and nothing worked on my LG4 until I installed "Equalizer FX". It works great, in fact I love it.

I use Cyanogenmod's AudioFX equalizer instead, and I think it works great. The APK is over at xda (I can't link since I only have 8 posts), but it's just an APK you install - no root required. I tested in in Spotify and over bluetooth and it works great!

Try the music fx app from the playstore. I think this is the official eq app of play music. It will be a separate app though but will auto intergrate in the play music app as well as spotify.

Thanks for that, I've been looking for a good equaliser without needing to root. Just tested Equalizer FX and it seems good on normal speaker, I'm sure it'll be even better when I plug the earphones in.
For anyone annoyed by the notification I just turned off all notifications from the app and if I want to make a change I just open the app or go to Google play music settings.

LG does not support the equalizer function, but there is an app that allows streaming media to use the equalizer. Here the link to itnin Google Play Store.

So far I have had no problems. It works perfect.

I noticed this as well. My S5 and note 4 had the equalizer but my g3, g4, and iphone 6+ did not. I really liked the eq as well.
