Missing Go SMS icon when screen is locked

I am not getting icon notifications for Go SMS Pro when my screen is locked. It was working up until recently but now I have to unlock my phone to see if I have a text

I'm not seeing anything about lock screen notifications

What notification options do you have?

Notifications off/on, pop up window when not in app (tried this one and that's not it), vibrate, ringtone, wake screen off/on, LED color, privacy-- show "new messages" instead of content.

If by "icon notifications" you mean the new message count on the app icon, that only applies to the icon on your home screen, which is only viewable after you unlock the security screen. You are probably remembering things incorrectly.

No. When my phone is not in use and the screen is black it occasionally shows the time with a lock (power saving thing with Droid Turbo 2) When I have any other notifications from other apps such as FB messenger or missed calls, an icon for that app shows up under the time in the black screen to notify me. When I received a new text, it used to show a little envelope there to let me know and now it doesn't. I wish I could show you lol

Thanks. That is a great description of what is and is not going on.
Since some apps are working and Go SMS Pro is not, my guess is that something recently changed that broke the communication. Did an update for Go SMS Pro happen lately?

Which phone are you using?
Which version of android?
Which carrier?
Which app launcher?

I'm not sure if it updated recently. My phone does it automatically.

A quick look at the Play Store says Go SMS Pro was last updated on Jan 19. Is that about the time things stopped displaying?

I'm having this issue as well with my Droid Turbo - it happened after the phone received the OTA update to Marshmallow and I haven't been able to get it back. I've tried the Go SMS settings, Android notification settings as well as the Moto app - Active Display settings and nothing seems to bring it back. I get the icons on screen from Gmail, Voicemail, missed calls, etc, just not Go SMS.

Yep! I even tried contacting the people who made the app and received no response. I deleted it and got a different app...it works perfect!!
