This AM, immediately after turning on my Pixel 3, all, repeat, all the files are gone. There is not ONE file anywhere. 8 years of work GONE. I'm open for any suggestions. HELP!!!!

Have you checked your Drive account from a PC or Chromebook? Maybe it's just an isolated incident on you Pixel and the files are still stored probably ...

The problem is fixed. I've been trying al morning to find the problem.
To fix it, I uninstalled it. It left me with 2 choices. UPDATE & OPEN. I chose UPDATE. When I reopened Drive, all the files were there. GO FIGURE.

Glad you got it worked out! I know losing years worth of files would have been horrible!!

My guess is that there was some glitch with the syncing -- by uninstalling it, then re-updating the app, it probably cleared out the app cache/data and then re-synced.

All of your files will always remain safe in the Google Drive cloud. If this happens again, the first thing to do would be to go to Settings>Apps, select Google Drive, then clear its app cache/data, then Force Stop. When you reopen it, it will sign back into your Google account and resync.

Thanks. Actually, I did clear the Cache, but I didn't FORCE Stop. I'll remember that if it ever happens again.

To say I was panic stricken, is an understatement.
