I noticed all Canadian P30 pro are missing that I wonder why that is not provided? I see some has it in Europe and Chinese models.

Have you tried going into the settings app (from the home screen) and tapping on your Huawei account at the very top? I have small square icon there in the top right which let's me scan for QR codes and such.

i don't see that huawei account at the very top that you're referring too. You have a screen shot?

Sure, here you go:

Tap your account at the top (which says Rob in my case):

Then on the icon in the top right corner:

There's your code scanner.

this is what i found which is what i meant

1. Open the camera app on the Huawei P30 Pro. 2. In the live viewfinder, select the "Vision" icon at the top left. 3. Now select the symbol for "QR Codes" in the bottom left corner. 4. Now scan the QR code with the Huawei P30 Pro. 5. Now the corresponding website, business card, function etc. opens on the smartphone. So now you know the procedure to scan a QR code with the Huawei P30 Pro

"Vision" icon - that's not on my camera app.

Not on mine either. I just downloaded a qr reader app for the 5 times a year I actually use it ??????*♂️

Ya i found it out a while ago it had to do with Canada for some reason they block Hivision which is part of QR scanning and the calories scanning so Sad the calories scanning would be cool. It's better the google lens.

I know this is a super old thread. I just wanted to thank you Rob for this detailed help. Helped me learn how to scan QR codes on my P30 Canadian edition. Worked like a charm!
