Missing SIM card

I bought a phone off ebay and it didn't come with the sim card. I'm not new to rooting/customizing my phone, but I've been with Sprint forever. So this is my first phone with a sim card. Can I use it at all without the sim card? I don't have LTE in my area and I know the ESN is good. Any ideas on getting a sim card for it? Thanks
