Missing text messages on Samsung Galaxy S9

[Android Central Question]

I am not receiving some text messages. Also, when I type a text message and press send, it takes me back to the home screen and doesn't deliver the message.This has happened several times over the last two months. I have set me messages to auto delete after six months
