Missing texts on my S7 international unlocked variant (930F)

I have not received several texts this week and last on my S7. My wife asked me if I had gotten her texts and then two workers brought it up too, otherwise I would not have known. I have gotten texts from these senders fine before. Could it be an iPhone to Android issue. Making me want to go back to my iPhone 6s and iMessage. This is not the first android phone I have had where this has happened. Can anyone help me?

It could be an iMessage issue. There have been a number of reports where iMessage seems to be still functioning on the person's account, hence iMessages from other people aren't converted to SMS for Android to receive. Apple locked iMessage down so only iOS can use it and receive from it. There are several guides on the Internet on how to properly migrate between Apple and Android.

Maybe on the iphone side they have to select the option send it as sms if imessage is not available.
