Missing Texts

A lot of times MMS are not coming through on my phone. I miss 1-2 texts every day especially if it's a group text. Has this happened to anyone? Any ideas? I've tried Google Messages, stock, and Pulse.

Hi! Are you group texting with anyone who uses iPhones? That'll definitely cause texts/MMS to be out of order and I will sometimes miss messages/get them late if I am doing a group text involving iPhones and Androids. Are other participants in the conversation receiving all of the MMS messages?

I recommend WhatsApp - I use it to group message my husband and in-laws (my in-laws use iPhones).

It can also be due to poor cell signal. What's yours like? If you're in an area with poor or spotty reception, that can lead to missed messages or failure to send.

How long has this been happening? Has it always happened or just started recently?

How many texts do you have? Hundreds? Thousands? Tens of thousands? Hundreds of thousands? I've seen a lot of phones struggle in the latter two denominations. Clearing caches can help but keeping a tidy inbox can work wonders.

Yes but my husband is getting all the texts and he has an s10+ too

I'm not sure honestly but not tons! And it's always happened here or there but it's happening tons now

Have you done anything differently with your phone/connection settings in the past few weeks? Have you tried using Textra yet to see if the issue persists within that third party SMS app?

I've tried Pulse and Messages not Textra yet but it's the same in all apps

I did they told me to reset network settings and a few others but same issues

What did they say when you told them their suggestions didn't work? Have they offered a replacement SIM yet? Ultimately, maybe they'll even offer to replace the phone.

I know we seem to be asking more than offering but it helps narrow down the issue, especially if we can eliminate things.

When you say your husband is getting all of the texts it makes me assume that he is in the same conversations as you and that you realize you are missing texts because he is receiving them when you are not, but I don't think those two things are entirely accurate. So let me ask this, is there one contact or two contacts that you've noticed the missing texts from or is it entirely random? Put simply, you get every text from A - Z but are sometimes missing texts from Jane or Jane and Paul?

If the issue is just one or two contacts that could be something one their end, while if it is completely random it is most likely something on your end...
