So, I installed MIUI because I need to try something new. Skyraider 4.3 is just giving me tons of problems. Switched from Virtuous because it's just old and tired and sense keeps rebooting. Tried MIUI yesterday and it was going great (version .22 weird and very different, but working fine). When I got home and swapped out the battery, after the reboot I kept getting FC issues. couldn't make a call without a FC, couldn't text, almost every app gave me a FC. I tried installing the .29 version and this was even worse. I couldn't even register my google acct. as the keyboard wouldn't even work because of a system FC. What is going on with this ROM? I downloaded from Rom manager, I downloaded from MIUI directly. I even tried version .15 but I couldn't restore any apps as Titanium just FC.

Just to put it out there, I wiped data, cache, and dalvik cache before each install. I even tried wiping system before one of the installs. Same FC issues. Is there any way to get this rom up and running for the Dinc? It's very foreign for Android, but yet I like it at the same time.....if it would work.

MIUI UPDATED VERSION

I just flashed this yesterday, coming from a Sense 3.0 ROM and its working FLAWLESSLY. When I say flawlessly, thats what I mean. I had SOOOO many issues with almost every 3.0 ROM I flashed, so I flashed this to see, and FREAKIN LOVE IT!! Not a single FC, MMS over wifi works, everything!! A little weird as far as the UI, but Im loving it!!

GOOD LUCK!!

Yeah, I was not a fan of the UI as it like I was using a knock off iphone, but once I loaded Launcher Pro it was back to feeling like a droid again. Mostly I hated not having an app tray, and LP gives me that.

Gotta say... After using MIUI for so long, I don't care for most other ROMs anymore.

For those that really miss the app drawer, I use All App Organized. It arranges your apps according to your custom categories. Then just place the organizer app in the dock bar. Actually better than most other app drawers. There are similar options available. Just a thought.

If you're having force close issues.. A couple of special items to know flashing MIUI.
1. DO NOT restore any system data from a backup. It causes fc s every time. (call logs, settings, mms, etc)
2. It's better to re-install apps from the market or use the MIUI stock file manager to install them from a backup on the SD card. Restoring apps can also cause problems, although you can restore app data after without trouble.
3. Try using the "fix permissions " in ROM Manager. This can help.

Hope this helps.

You can't with the MIUI launcher. That is why I said it felt like a knock off Iphone, but I knew my phone was better than that. Download a different launcher from the market. I use Launcher Pro. It gives you the ability to put the icons back into the app drawer and not have them all on the screen.

The iphone has no app drawer, it puts everything on the home screens. I find that VERY annoying.

The only annoying part of MIUI for me is when I apply the new updates each Friday, I have to reflash my Kernel. Each update changes the kernel back to the one MIUI uses. I find Incredikernel works better for me.
