had a chance to try the 3g Mobile Hotspot yet? i just saw it today too. looks awesome. i'm using that funky new transformer theme...i like the lock screen the most.

I'm still having trouble with the phone losing service and having to reboot. Anyone found this fix. This may force me to which roms.

I just want to express my appreciation for the File Explorer app that comes with MIUI. No more digging thru my SD card. It plainly categorizes by apk, docs, zips, etc. Now re-installing apps is just that much easier. Woo.

My Random Thoughts....

A couple of thoughts here about 2nd Int Roms. Are we on Gingerbread? I mean, we have to flash to Froyo to flash this, there lies my confusion. Or, am I safe to say that we are on Gingerbread but w/ Froyos' kernel, a hijacked kernel. And if we are on Gingerbread, (I'm pretty sure we are) whats the comparison now to the .602 update? I honestly lost track after 2.3.340, so we're on 2.3.5 Now? Where does .602 put a stock phone at now?? 2.3.???

we are using froyo kernel, then the 2nd init kicks in and allows us to run whatever rom we want, in this case a gingerbread based cm7 / miui / whatever.

however, cvpcs and others have 2nd init working with the gingerbread kernel, but are still having some issues "cleaning it up" so it's only a matter of time and you wont have to sbf back to froyo to get cm7 or miui or whatever.

in a few months you should be able to sbf to whatever version you want and load whatever rom you want.

I was wondering the same thing in the non root page but the forum was down and I couldnt post. Someone was discussing miui being worked into a gb build. We currently run 2.3.5, (which I thought 2.3.4 was gb which it is). on a 340 froyo kernel but you need 2.3 to run gb on a gb 596 now 602 kernel. So I was wondering what build(.596, 602) the MIUI team was working on becuz your right Jedi, it is a bit off kilter with us. Then again with what we do with our devices are u surprised,lol

I might just stay on froyos' kernel, you can't do the wifi tethering on the GB kernel. BUT! If the GB kernel has astronlmical quadrant scores I might just do it. My buddy said that. 602 is on 2.3.3, is that right?

It's works on miui, and there is a link that will be added to op for cm7, but it is unconfirmed for any others at this point. V1.5 will work on any rom without a doubt but 1.7 with the services.jar swap is still undetermined. You are more than welcome to try it out though.

When i download 1.7 and then tap it a wipe dalvik selected option in rom manager appears which I OK then it goes into recovery and I let it sit at installing update for at least 15mins so I battery pulled and repowered on. Everything is fine so I am missing something....

Also my girl sent me an audio file in sms and when I tap it my music player flashes then goes right back to our sms thread. I longpressed it to save which it said it did but Im not finding it in file explorer anywhere or in the music player. Anyone else havin this issue?

This has to installed with some sort of script manager,

Edit: Downloaded the zip file 1.7 and I also got the Script Manager app from Market, (who knew?) anyway I'm curious to see if I notice anything. Run as Root under way..
Edit2: Well I read that this didn't take on the new 13radio, and they were right! Totally knocked out my 3g, LOL!

Thanks, I knew I did something wrong. Did you flash 1.7? Just my luck I guess, my 3g is gone.
