You have to extract the contents in the zip file

Ty Jedi, I got it. Although the reboot didnt take as abnormally long as described. So I went and ran a speedtest.net app run and heres the results....did I do it right? lol

seems to make that big of diff eh? i just did a normal speed test and got .25mbps down and .65 on upload ... here in tampa

I havent noticed any changes yet. Tapatalk always ran fast for me and my browser seems the same. maybe some things just cant be seen even tho they are really there.

3g speeds are subjective to your area, this is only gonna last till the next update anyway. ;-)

Almost forgot. When I woke up today my 7 pages of apps were all jumbled thru different screens out of place. My homescreen only has my clock widget and 3 apps now, varied numbers on consecutive pages and pg 6 n 7 are full when they werent before. Very odd.

Never lend your phone to a five year old.

Thats the part that creeps me out. I live alone. Or do I?

After replacing them back the way I liked and doing an internal backup, it did it again on a reboot so I just cleared the data in the launcher(runs super fast now) and will wait to see what is changed or fixed. But now I cannot get my ROM Manager premium license to be seen in the phone after I restore it from MIUI backup. Grrr its been one of those weeks. Which is OK cuz its been a while for me with my X,lol

Good luck with that, maybe flashing this next update will help.

Are you guys using ROM Manager premium to update? I have been checking ROM Manager all morning and when I click "check for upgrade" absolutely nothing happens (yesterday when clicking it told me I was up to date after a 5-10 second lag).

Been using MIUI for 2 days. Decided to SBF from stock ginger after reading this entire post.

Takes a bit for MIUI to be ported to Droid X should be here by today sometime, Jerseyboy?

Thanks to @cvpcs (developer of the ultra-minimalistic Ruby and Sapphire ROMs), and his 2nd-init hack, the DROID X and DROID 2 can finally experience some truly custom ROMs, not just some stripped down versions of the stock build. The MIUI ROM is a mashup of sorts ? taking the best of various ROMs and putting them together into one awesome package. Reminiscent of iOS on the outside, that similarity stops here. Quick and stable, MIUI makes for a excellent ROM if you?re looking to better the performance of your phone.

Yes it should already be here actually now that the OG Droid and Droid Milestone have it. Yes we and the D2 are the last model in the MOTO line to get it so within hours 1.8.2.6 should drop. Its currently 215p here in Central Jersey waiting for the update to drop and the wanna be hurricane to hit later tonight. Love weekends!
