MIUI Ported to the X

I was at 80% battery. Wi-fi always on as usual since I have a 3g problem somehow.
I ran the latest V6 and Jakebite's.
I rebooted it all.
I am at 100% battery
Win?

I'm sure you've tried this B but just in case, have you done the deal where you dial *228 then select 2? It's suppose to update your roaming capabilities.

been sitting on boring old rooted phone for a while and I am going to SBF to 2.3.34 and give MIUI a try. Just wanted to check in before pulling the trigger on if I have to do anything else after the sbf?

I saw in the rootzwiki something about switching the camera out of widescreen??? Is that just because it is an old tutorial or is that still needed?

Yea wide screen isn't working yet, but if you set your focus to infinity you could get by. Welcome to MIUI...It's thE BOMB!

yea use the GB .sbf(602) then install .21 MIUI which is the latest.

btw: my 3g icon suddenly re-appeared and all access apps work. good ole MIUI

Installed last night and have been pretty happy so far. Problems I have come across include camera not focusing at all, wifi not connecting to my network (will retest), and calk me crazy but I'm not a huge fan of how I phone like everything is.

edit: took a second go around at adding my network but got it working

Installed last night and have been pretty happy so far. Problems I have come across include camera not focusing at all, wifi not connecting to my network (will retest), and calk me crazy but I'm not a huge fan of how I phone like everything is.

Camera should be set to 8mb in settings, the 6mb is not working (soon though, very soon) unless you set your focus from auto to infinity, for the time being, then it'll go. Not sure about the wifi deal there, and in the pull down menu you'll find a nice toggle menu, that will let you turn your wifi on and off. As for the Iphone feel to it, you could download the Gingerbread theme within the settings of this rom and use any launcher available in the Market. This is a true rom unlike the others out there that look like stripped done Blur. If your patient you'll find a bunch of goodies in here.

I'm hoping this weekend! I got my eyes on this as well as other MIUI enthusiasts here, so as soon as it's available it'll will sound like a bomb just landed.... 720p on a 2nd int rom..are U kidding me?!?!

Can't wait for this either. Has anyone figured out how to stop WIFI and 3G from randomly dropping in and out while using v6 charger with MIUI? This question has been asked for months I have not seen an answer.

i havnt gave the camera a good test yet but seems to work, I still dont like the shutter sound though I wish I could change or mute that. Also, I recorded a video, and when I went to play it back it started fine, and then at the end it did a little pixelation and went into another video that recorded a few days ago on SSM but have since deleted(if that makes any sense). Kind of like with VHS's when you recorded over top of something it had that short jerky broken up transition between the two, but this was more "digital". My guess is that it started to record, and then recorded over top of the old video which just hasnt been competely wiped off yet, im not sure how thats possible, but it sure did happen. Hopefully thats a one time thing. Im guessing if it happens I could just copy everything off my SD, format it, and then copy everything back on and that should remove anything that might remain.

You can shut of sounds (shutter) in settings within the camera app.

OK I retract my previous statement,lol. Now this is an update to enjoy. Oh man HD video and recording, the world has changed. Im sorry which ROM is the best in the world right now....pffft imagine this ROM in a ICS build on a RAZR or Nexus. shiiiiiiiitt haha

Update...ok why I no get 720p mang?
EDIT - DXC himself told me that Hi setting is 720p so nevermind just stare at my video settings screen

Any of you guys getting the 3g dropping on ya and the 1x bug? My wifi sometimes pops up for no reason. :-(

Ive been having the 3g dropping on and off for a day or two at a time. But im always on wifi so its not a big deal yet. When DXC returns Weds hope he throws that bug stomper in .28 so itll fix it.

I haven't noticed that but I have noticed not being able to turn Data on or off unless I hot boot my phone first.
