I'm getting my Xoom tomorrow and want to put my cowboy bebop collection on there. Only problem is they are MKVs. Anyone had any luck with playing this file type?

What resolution are you talking? Generally MKVs are for HD video (720/1080), which is why they're generally choppy. If your files are just standard def they should run just fine with the right app.

The ones I tried were 720p. They played "ok" but had a bit of stuttering in the video. After I converted them to m4v files and tweaked the video bitrate they played more smoothly. I kept the resolution the same.

Well, the series I want to load is standard def so I might not have to worry about converting it. Guess we will see...
