MM Update Killed WiFi

Just got the 6.0 update for my Shield tablet (orig version) and WiFi won't turn on. Anyone else having this problem? According to NVIDIA board, many others are.

My WiFi is fine. I did wipe the cache immediately after updating so I don't know if that made a difference or not, but I'm pretty sure it was connected to WiFi prior to that because I had a message about updating google play services right after updating and before wiping the cache partition.

Oh dear, am I glad that I waited this one out
Am too busy these days to risk the update and do all the work to get it up and running again.
