MMB29K (6.0.1) on AT&T - does it work?

For those who might wonder how 6.0.1 works on the AT&T network, it works just fine.

I flashed MMB29K yesterday morning on my N5, N6 and N7 (2013) and it works great on all the devices.

Just as an FYI, on the N5 and N7, I wiped the phone/tablet and did a complete install.

On the N6, using NRT, I opted for the "No Wipe Mode" so it wouldn't wipe my apps and data. Basically it was like doing an OTA. Since my bootloader was already unlocked, I figured what the hell, If it works, fine. If not, I'll do a complete install, since I was only going from MRA58R (6.0) to MMB29K (6.0.1). The install took about 3 minutes. Updating all the apps (you know, that screen you get whenever you get an OTA), took about 10 minutes.

Anyway, no issues whatsoever on any of the devices.

I have noticed that the boot screen is still the same as on lollipop. Not like the new boot screen I have on my nexus 9 on marshmallow which got the ota. Anyone else notice this

Then you probably didn't update to 6.X.

Double check your Settings > About Phone and see what your version and build number is. When I upgraded to 58R and then to 29K, I have the new boot animation.

Something isn't right.

For sure on 6.0.1 but still on the lollipop boot screen. Everything works fine but I thought it was very weird it stayed like that

Here's a question I've had signal issues since getting my n6. But my n5 works fine full bars just about everywhere. Not my my n6. I have to flash a different radio I've read and been told. Anybody in a big city or travel to one that doesn't have signal issues? I'm still trying to research hoe to flash the radio only while keeping the os and checking feedback to which ones users have had good and bad things with.

I have AT&T & I flashed MMB29K last night and everything seems to be working ok. I had some brief WiFi connectivity issues during the device setup immediately after flashing, but everything seems to have settled down just fine.

That's good. My wifi worked fine the whole time. Just the cell signal was issue. Been a minor issue since I received it. As of now having 6.0.1 since release signal seems steady and good. Still exploring others feedback

What was the version timeline for you? Did you jump straight from 5.1.1 to 6.0.1?

It may be possible that the boot animation is part of the phone that's left untouched with that option?

As a side note, I can't believe that two of my friends are on AT&T and don't have Marshmallow yet. One of them bought his unlocked and I looked on his phone and he has the Y build associated with AT&T.

Glad I flashed mine way back when...

I went from 5.1.1 to 6.0 to 6.0.1. From what I have read on Reddit is that all of the at&t subsidized nexus 6's are like this if you flash. Which mine is. No big deal. It's work perfectly fine.

Odd. Good to know.

Just to update - I am thinking that my previously reported WiFi problem had nothing to do with Marshmallow. I've got other devices that are suddenly having connectivity problems as well, and I'm suspecting it has to do with congested bandwidth. I can pick up signals from 15 different routers operating in the 2.4GHz spectrum from my living room. At least 4 different routers operating on channels 1, 6 & 11. Ugh...

Download the "Wi-Fi Analyzer" app by Farproc and find out which band your router is on. If it's on a congested band that other routers are occupying, change the band in the router wi-fi settings.

You probably already know this, but for those who might not, It's amazing how much better your wi-fi can be, even at the 2.4gHz frequency, if you're not on a congested band.

Everybody near me is on bands 1, 3 or 6 and I'm on 11.

That's the app I was using. I had 7 people on channel 1, 4 on channel 6 and 4 on channel 11. I'm going to be fighting with it more when I get home.

Band 8 or 9 would be good for you then. Or, if you have a N router, turn on the 5gHz radio. Not as good penetration through walls, but much less congested.

I knew a guy who used to break into his neighbors' routers and put them all on one channel so he'd have access to clear channels...

I'm beginning to understand how someone could be pushed to a point at which that seems to be a good idea, lol.

I have an AT&T-locked Nexus 6 with 5.1.1 (Build LMY48Z). I've seen links to several different how-to's on the internet for upgrading an Nexus 6 from 5.1.1 to Marshmallow. Since the folks on this thread seem to have had the most success with this process, can I request somebody to please post a link to a reliable site that provides instructions to do this upgrade?

Thanks in advance.
