MMS being sent multiple times

Lately I've been having people tell me that a picture or emoji or whatever is being sent to them multiple times. How can I figure out why this is happening and how can I stop it in the meantime?

This issue comes up fairly regularly. It's probably an issue with your carrier. Are the other people all on iPhones, or do they also use Android devices?

I would clear data ,cache,force stop the message app

All Android users. I'm on att and only Verizon users are saying this is happening.

Hmm, maybe something with Verizon then. I've never been able to find a definite cause or solution myself -- I just observe it happening.:-\
