MMS issue with group messages

I have had the s9+ on launch day and at first I didnt realize I had not been getting MMS from group messages. Now after owning the phone for nearly a month I realize that I have been getting messages either really later or not at all. It is EXTREMELY annoying. The issues I have had have been predominantly with iphone users who send me group messages. I have not owned a iphone for a few years and so I dont believe this is a iMessage issue with users who have converted over from the iPhone. I had the pixel 2XL prior to this and no issues at all. I am on Verizons network. I have googled this and found this to be a pretty well known issue but no one has figured out a way to solve it. I have found posts dating back to october for the S8. I love this phone but why is the most basic of things that it cannot do right?? If anyone can help out I would greatly appreciate it. I have already switched messaging apps and it doesnt seem to change anything.

Hi, I have the same issue too! Had it with my gs7 and now with the s9+. I am also on Verizon. Makes me wonder if it's only on Verizon's network!

Thanks for the reply! Im not sure. I have done web searches and it seems very sporadic. I have seen the issue with all variants of the phone but NO way to resolve and it is very frustrating! Did you upgrade from s7 to s9 directly? And was it ever resolved on your s7?

Yes, I upgraded to the s9. From what I know, it was never resolved, I tried google messaging and the problem still continued. I had to start using WhatsApp. Now with my s9 I noticed it a few times, even with messages coming from someone else on android. I'm guessing they aren't many of us with this problem, if it has not yet been addressed. And yes it's pretty frustrating.

Is your particular issue with any and all sms messages or limited to group messages and MMS?

I now have an unlocked S7 Edge G935V from Verizon, I'm using it on AT&T network and have the same issue. I've tried different APN settings, several messaging apps with no luck. AT&T has had no luck figuring it out either. Great phone, but this issue is killing me. Any help would be appreciated.
