I have CR 2.0 and wife has stock debinged/de bloated.
Neither of us can receive or send MMS.
regular SMS works fine but MMS only fails with attachments etc.
its been like that since SC version but we just been doing
without since haven't figured it out yet.
We have MMS because it works on the 3rd phone within our plan........its a non smartphone and it can send and receive fine.
We even called verizon to make sure MMS was on our plan and they verified it.
Just wondering if anyone else with rooted fascinate has this issue?

Try flashing the mms patch in post six here:

This may be a stupid question, but are you trying over wifi or 3g?

not stupid question.......lol
but yes I have tried both ways. Interresting that all rooted fascinates don't have this problem.
Its works without wifi or 3g on wife non rooted phone.

I can do without I guess but just wondered it there was a resolution

did you try "reactivating" your phone after rooting?

dial *228, option 1

only thing I can think of ATM

I had no issues with the full version of CR 2.1, did you try installing that fresh? The forums have been harried on MMS issues, the problem is that they are sent using an IP connection along with the SMS, and the servers used are configurable and switch when going between 3G and Wifi. Some rommers tried to be helpful and tweak these, but it largely made things worse. I would do a full flash of the latest version of your favorite rom, or look for the "patches" and see if any works for you. MMS can work fine with rooted roms, it's just a matter of finding one that "fixes" your settings the right way.

thanks for the info....I have had this problem since SC so its been ongoing. I just have never found the right fix. Been looking for awhile.
Phone has been wiped out more than a few times since SC and now on CR2.
I guess I just haven't come across the correct patch yet....lol

Did it get "wiped-wiped" as in a full filesystem format or an Odin of a new rom? The MMS servers are tweaked by a low level set of scripts so a "factory reset" or "wipe user data", and flashing a new rom over an old one might not clear it out properly. The problem, in some cases, was that changing the servers was implemented in an area of the rom it never should have been, and in the time since it probably wasnt "un-done" the way it needed to be so people who used old roms with these tweaks never got back to the "right" way of doing things unless they did a total low level wiping of their device (I did this to mine some time ago, and havent had MMS issues with roms since.)
