MMS Picture message downsized

Every time I send a picture message with MMS, either with the stock app or with Go SMS, the picture gets sent with 1mb file size, and I've watched the full file size get transmitted, but whenever I get a picture, even from myself, with either stock or GO, the file never comes through at a file size larger than 300k. Is there something I'm missing? I'd really like to receive pix in their full size.

Have you ever thought about just emailing pics? No compression

MMS is going away. Sprint is ending their MMS this month.
