MMS slides auto close

Anyone know if there is a way to prevent pictures in MMS slides from automatically going off the screen a few seconds after you view them? It's annoying when you go to somebody "Hey look at the pic so and so sent me" then you go to show them and they're looking at the message instead of the image.

The phone treats it as a slideshow with the default time as 5 seconds. I know you can change this if you're sending an MMS, but don't know about viewing one from someone else.

Seems kinda lame to me that you can adjust it from one end and not the other. I'm hoping there's a setting somewhere that I missed

And from NJ I see haha. Awesome.

You could always save the picture and view it from your photos gallery. A few more steps but it would prevent it from going away.
