I go to some areas with spotty coverage at times, is there a vehicle cell phone booster that works with Sprint LTE, I've heard that Sprint uses slightly different frequency bands so that some boosters won't work for them?

Have you tried contacting Sprint? Some carriers either sell or give you these devices IF you are having signal problems. T-Mobile sent me one for my office. :)

PS I'm not so sure about a mobile one, generally these come in 2 types, either one that connects to your home networking, OR the kind with 2 base station units, one kept at a window and one kept further in the building to create a zone of better signal.

I'm specifically looking at mobile, although if it works, I might be able to convince a family member to buy one for their house in a rural area, but they are exceedingly cheap, and don't stay there all of the time or have internet service there.

The devices T-Mobile have are free (25 dollar refundable deposit required), and 1 does not require internet, just a window that a unit can be placed near that gets a decent signal it can boost. :) That device would work for them, IF Sprint offers it, which they may not, all I saw on their website was the OTHER type device that connects to a wireless router.

I think there are some 3rd party boosters but they're expensive. The Sprint exclusive one is one that piggy backs on your home internet.

Sprint has the Airave. Its a device you hook up to your network and it creates a mini cell tower in your building but you need internet to used it. . I had one but now I just use wifi calling on my S5 so i sent it back. It was orrigionally 99$ years ago when it came out to own it, since they replaced the owned ones with a new unit they lease to you for free as long as you are a customer but you have to return it if you cancel.
