Mobile Data Disconnected!

3g is down here in Iowa. just got off the phone with a VM rep, they claim it's "maintenance" and that it should be back up in about an hour or so... not sure how much truth there is in that statement tho, so don't hold your breath...
 
I just filed a complaint with the FCC. Im sick and tired of this BS from these guys.
ha Maintenace issue. Thats a new one. LOL
 
My 3g has been down since 8pm EST and its still not working. When I try calling customer service's main line I get a busy signal.... WTF man.....:mad: I'm in SC
 
mine is working great, my wifes is doing the no network thing. hers is stock mine is rooted and modded all to get out. Its really annoying... like others its not even showing the 3g or even 1x icon.. this really shouldnt be happening...

it was busy the first few times i tried calling too... finally got through on my 3rd attempt...
 
this may not be an issue with VM, actually. we all know that VM uses sprint's network... well, i just contacted my friend in Cali who uses sprint, and he says his data is out as well... so, it looks like this may be a system-wide issue right now...
 
The outage does seem nationwide. Lots more reports of it on their Facebook page.

Checked their Twitter page. From the looks of things, they are trying to roll out the Froyo update for the Intercept. Probably the demand on the network for the update is what is causing the outages (just a guess).
 
lol what a cluster**** of a company - but 25 bucks a month is to good to walk away from.
 
As a side note, if you ever have issues with your service (other than this wide spread outage) email them at vmusocialcare@sprint.com instead of calling the 800 number. My wifes data went out a month or so ago, I tried the 800 number twice, got connected overseas and no real help (pretty much just take the battery out, wait, then if it still doesn't work wait a few days and try again). I emailed them at around 10 pm. central time, by mid-morning the next day, they emailed me back and said they were working on it and by around noon, had reset my wife's plan for free (restarted the $40, 1200 minutes to start fresh that day, even though there was only one week or so left in the plan). Restarting the plan fixed the data and basically gave us a month free on her phone for the trouble.
 
Give them time, VM used to be very reliable, they are going through lots of changes at the moment.
 
my data still works, my wifes phone is still not working. I dont have a wifi router or signal from any one else, I live out side of city limits and there is no highspeed option here. (Moberly Missour, if any one knows where that is. about a hour or two from St. Louis. i'm using my phones data to post this ;)
