Mobile Data issues...

So I am having issues with my data connection switching itself off and on at random intervals causing hanging in web browsing and slowing of the responsiveness in the phone. If any one has any suggestions as to what I can do to fix this I would be great-full. I am trying to avoid an 2 hour aggravation of tech support to just end up factory wiping the handset and or waiting for another replacement device.
