Mobile highlight

Whenever I tap something once it highlights it, how do I shut it off?

For instance, I'm scrolling through chrome and I tap the word the once, it'll high light it.

I have an LG G4

Does it only happen in Chrome, or in other apps as well? Is there a Google "G" logo that appears at the bottom of the screen with the word?
