Does the mobile hotspot feature work on the Pixel 2 XL with a grandfathered unlimited plan?

It did work with the Nexus 6 but not with the Nexus 6p. I don't know if it worked with the original Pixel.

With AT&T. And I'm wondering specifically if the Pixel 2 XL or Pixel 2 work.

On the old grandfathered data plan? The 6P didn't work for me with muy old UDP.

Ok, bad news for you AT&T Pixel 2 XL users with Grandfathered-in Unlimited Everything plans (Had this plan since ~1999 or early 2000s)...

On my first foray with AT&T they were unable to add (I have had legit unlimited Hotspot for years) the hotspot to my account!!

Here is the last little bit of the transcript:


TAR: do you know why it won't work?

Eric: we dont have the ability to add it to your account with the current plan you have.

Eric: It just wont let me add the soc and Provision it for you.

TAR: when did my account change?

TAR: can you see when a change was made, last?

Eric: It just isnt on your Account in the provisioning section.

TAR: bizarre
