I've had my S8 for over a year and just now encountered this problem. My carrier is Appalachian Wireless. They were not able to fix it so I'm turning to you guys. My network mode is stuck on Global and I cannot use my phone network at all. It needs to be on LTE/CDMA for it to work. It gives you the option to select that mode but instantly goes back to Global. Nothing has changed on my phone. No new apps no new downloads. It worked perfect earlier today. The technician at Appalachian Wireless had not encountered this problem before. The phone has been restarted, network info reset, new SIM card and still nothing. Any info is greatly appreciated. Also noticed that my phone says I have used 0 mobile data but shows how much wifi I have used the last month

Ask the tecnician if he can back your phone up, reflash the ROM, then restore the phone.

Unfortunately that is my last option. They have to actually send my phone off to the main office to flash it and I wouldn't get it back for over a week. Was hoping it could be fixed before they sent it off.
