So after some research on HowardForums and my own personal experience I thought I'd like to share this with you guys too.
Now we all know the regular nationwide plans, either the single line (450min, 900, etc) or family plans (550 (loyalty), 700, 1400, 2000, etc) include unlimited calling to other verizon customers, but not a lot of people know there is also a version of the nationwide plan that allows free calling to any mobile for free. This helps with the annoyance of the old nationwide plans having limited minutes but you still want to hold onto unlimited data as long as possible.
This is known as the central Texas promotion plan aka mobile to any mobile nationwide talk&txt. It comes in the same minute allotments as the regular nationwide plans, except the $30 unlimited texting plan is baked into the plan and is not optional.
Another caveat is that if you want to convert your nationwide plan to the mobile to any mobile version, on a single line plan, your line must fall under one of the following area codes: 210, 214, 254, 318, 325, 361, 430, 432, 439, 469, 512, 682, 806, 817, 830, 903, 915, 940, 956 and 972.
If the line is not under one of these area codes, the customer service rep will not be able to change you to this plan until the number on the line is changed to one of those above.
In the case of a family plan no one is sure about any of this, but if all of the lines are not under those area codes, you would have to have the numbers changed to one of them, have the plan changed, then request the numbers to be reinstated (for a fee) afterwards. Or you could port out and then port them all back in. Either way it would be a hassle. AOLing onto these plans also seems to be a hassle as the same number issues arise. The rep would need to add a sub account as a single line, change the area code for the number, change the plan to the single line version of the MTAM, then add it into the main family plan pool, then reinstate the original number.
Anyways, the plan code for the single line mobile to any mobile nationwide plan with 450 minutes is 85225 for $64.99/month and the 700 minute family plan version is 90044 for $85.99/month. All you have to do is call up customer service and tell them you want to change your plan and you have the plan id/number. In my own experience with setting up new verizon accounts to test something else, I was able to convert a more everything plan to the single line 85225 plan, and then to a 90044 plan, with the line being in the 512 area code the entire time without any issues. Changing to these plans does not affect your features (unlimited data).
All of the mobile to any mobile plans are $5 more than the regular nationwide plans.
I also have the plan codes for the 300min/$34.99 plan (which is the cheapest nationwide plan a corporate discount can be applied to), as well as the $15/30 minute nationwide plan that you can pair with unlimited data for $45/month before tax.
On the master list of feature codes and plan codes I've been working on:
