Mobile will not connect to servers

My new Wiko Rainbow Jam with android 5.1 will not connect to google servers. Telephone network ok, but no internet, wifi ok but no internet access. Any ideas?

Either a bad phone or a bad mobile data connection AND a bad router setup. (You DO have a mobile phone number that includes data AND an internet account that the router is connected to, right?)

I think a bad phone. Other mobile same setup, no problem. Cannot be mobile setup, as wifi does not work either. I have 1pc, 2 tablets, 1 laptop and another mobile working on the wifi.
All I get is "unable to make connection" both in wifi and mobile.
Possibly a bad interface component on phone. I will try and ask the supplier to try another phone of same make and model. I was hoping that someone else had experienced the same problem, and the problemmay be with Lollipop 5.1
