Just went from a flip phone to my RAZR and loving it. Problem is out of no where my battery started to drain fast. I'm using my phone as a purely WiFi device so I have airplane mode on and WiFi enabled but battery still drains. I root and flashed to 4.44. Lots of great improvements but battery still draining. I've tried fiddling with every possible setting but can't seem to figure it out. Please take a look at my battery stats. Sorry for delay couldn't add photos from phone for some reason. Been reading lots of post but still can't solve this problem.

Part of the problem is you have a bunch of wakelocks. Do you know what is causing them? You can use an app called wakelock detector to see what is going on.

And there's something strange in your graph. With aeroplane mode on the network signal shouldn't be red, just blank. Red is for signal loss. Maybe that's normal in the rom you're using but seems weird to me.

Do you have any sim card in the phone?

Yes a standard 4g sim card but not activated. I had been using the phone throughout the day to check the battery so that might explain the wake locks but not sure? If i didn't mention already this problem developed before I change roms. Additionally I had been trying to convert my phone to CDMA mode for use with page plus. Not sure if those changes stay within each rom. The problem developed several weeks after messing with CDMA workshop so its hard to say if they are related. As far as reset I did a factory reset as well as a wipe when changing roms. This happened after the CDMA stuff. The original rom is gone but I installed a identical version. So two roms 4.1 and 4.4. I will see what wakelock detector can tell and will let you guys know what it says. Any other suggestions on diagnosing this problem are welcome and thank you for the quick reply's. Much appreciated.

Try taking the SIM off and check the drain. You could try not using the aeroplane mode on and manually switch off mobile, bt and location. Restart the phone and see the battery usage after a day of WiFi use.

The wakelocks don't match the screen on. So you aren't causing them.

Hi All
Ok sorry for such long delay on this reply. My work requires me to work off the grid for weeks at a time and somewhat unpredictably. Anyhow wake lock showed com.cyanogenmod.lockclock to be causing most of the wakes. I ran AVG anti virus and that seems to have fixed the problem. It removed a wallpaper app guessing that was malware. I've noticed that with android you have to be careful which apps you instal and what permissions you give or your battery can end up dead fast. My cyanogenmod instal is also acting a bit unstable so I'm definitely keeping a vanilla jelly bean instal around until a more stable version is released. Thank you all for your help and again sorry for my ridiculous bad response time! Also this forum is great!
