Mocking up a UI

Hi,

I'm switching from an iPhone 6S to a Note 8 this week (I hope) and I'm trying to stave off the impatience and wait with planning things like my Homescreen.

Is there any simple software I can use to install a 'normal' Samsung Note 8 UI on my PC and then install apps/wallpaper/icons/etc in order to pre-plan the UI?

I'd much rather plan things on my PC and then transfer appropriate files than muck around on the phone itself and not be able to easily switch back to one that I know works if I'm in the midst of setting up & have to stop...

I've not used Android since the first Google phone MANY years ago (which got sent back & replaced by an iPhone 3 I think!) so I'm nervous about using Android again - hopefully it's improved since then...

Not sure how to do that with the Samsung launcher, but it might be possible with Nova Launcher or others like it. For example, in Nova you can back up your settings, etc to Google Drive, so if you could find that file, it might be possible to edit via docs or something like that. Never tried it that way though.
